Juvenile Fatally Struck By Train On Jersey Shore

ORIGINAL STORY: A juvenile was struck and killed by a train on the Jersey Shore Sunday, Aug. 14, NJ Transit officials tell Daily Voice.

The child was struck by the southbound train No. 4749 on the North Jersey Coast Line in Point Pleasant Beach at the Foreman Avenue crossing around 4:30 p.m., the outlet said citing NJ Transit officials.

The train had left from Long Branch and was headed toward Bay Head. No further details were released. 

There were no reported injuries to the nine passengers and crew members on board the train. New Jersey Transit police are leading the investigation.
